Kendal Concert Band is a community band and we provide opportunities for suitably experienced musicians over the age of 15 to come along and participate with like-minded people.
We are inclusive and we don’t require an audition, but we are looking for a reasonable playing standard because of the technical requirements of some of the pieces we rehearse. As a rough guide, grade 4 would be an indication or previous experience with another band.

Successful applicants will be invited to undertake a short probationary period with us during which time we expect you to attend rehearsals regularly. You are not expected to take part in performances during that period.
